Choose the right Mac download

1. Open the Apple menu at the top left of your screen and choose About This Mac.
2. If it lists an Apple M-series chip, choose Apple silicon.
3. If it lists an Intel processor, choose Intel.

A browser cannot reliably identify your Mac chip. Use About This Mac rather than a guess based on your browser. Both downloads provide the same companionship and play features. See the system and chip compatibility guide.

After downloading

1. Open the DMG and drag Mewbi into Applications.
2. Launch Mewbi from Applications and follow the normal macOS first-open confirmation.
3. Start with basic companionship. You can choose whether to enable optional window-awareness features in Settings.

Official Mac releases are Developer ID signed and notarized by Apple. Notarization does not mean a Mac App Store listing or an Apple endorsement, and you still choose which permissions to grant. If the app will not open or you need to upgrade, follow the installation and update guide before changing system security settings.

What is free?

Basic companionship, pats, yarn and balloons with their default looks are free, with no account required. Seven more toys and extra looks belong to the optional Play Pack. Paid props do not have trials. You can download the free app and spend time with your cat before deciding to buy.

Finder glasses are an optional cloud feature in the Play Pack. They need internet access, an active account session and an activated device, and are subject to usage limits and availability. Local companionship and cloud recognition process data differently; read the permissions guide and Privacy Policy.

Windows and mobile availability

A Windows download is not publicly available yet. Check Windows availability. A license covering up to three computers across Mac and Windows does not mean a Windows installer has been released. There is no mobile app; you can watch the demos on your phone and return to this page on your Mac.
